What do you recommend for my home?
Our well-trained technicians will help you in deciding which products are best fit for your home’s needs. With nearby towns like Toms River, Asbury Park, Brick, Seaside, Point Pleasant, and Belmar, you are not going to want to stay inside all Spring to keep an eye on your home. All these towns have multiple events coming up whether it be the opening of farmers markets, cook-offs, or local festivals, so be sure not to miss them while still making sure your home is being protected. With the installation of security cameras, you can feel comfortable leaving your house for the day while still knowing what’s taking place there from the palm of your hand. Our DVR, NVR, or IP cameras have a feature called line crossing detection, also known as line intrusion. Line crossing detection will instantly detect any motion in a personally set area that you design for all your alert needs. It will send notifications right to your smart device to notify you. If you want to be alerted when a specific part of your property detects motion you would go into the software and draw lines across the area you want to set. For example, say you want to be notified when someone walks up to your garage, you would draw the lines in front of the garage. These lines that you set are only a virtual perimeter therefore they are not visible to the human eye.
Make Sure To Keep Your Home Safe
When the specific area you set is breached you will receive an alert through the app or directly to your email, depending on which option you choose. You can even have an audible alert on site through an external siren or from he DVR or NVR. You can set this to work on schedules, so when you’re out for the day enjoying the nice weather with your family and friends you will still be alerted. There are sensitivity settings that you can adjust. For example, if you don’t want to be alerted when a rabbit or other small animal enters your yard, you would adjust the settings to measure larger objects.
You can never be too safe when it comes to protecting your family and your home. Double up on your home by getting an alarm system installed. Homes that add an alarm system as well as have security cameras have added protection to their home which is a burglar’s worst nightmare. Not only will the person who has entered your home be caught on tape; they have also alerted the proper authorities by setting off your alarm system. With the footage from the security camera you will know exactly what took place at your home. Most of today’s home alarms are linked to central station monitoring for a small monthly fee. This will alert the proper authorities when the alarm is triggered. With the new UltraSync alarm you won’t only just be alerted if someone is at your home, but right from the palm of your hand you will be able to do much more. Features like arming and disarming your system from your phone is only just the beginning!
Can the cameras view clearly at night?
Here at Central Jersey Security Cameras, we make sure to have the proper equipment to fit everyone’s needs. Our team of well-trained technicians would be happy to help you find the proper placement and choose the proper cameras for the outside. Infrared security cameras have infrared lighting (light from a different region of the electromagnetic spectrum than we normally use to see) installed around the outside of the camera lens. This allows the camera to capture a good image with no light at all. With a small amount of light, called low light, the infrared camera can capture an image that looks just like daytime. At night there is usually some light from the moon, stars, or street lights/
We don’t recommend using infrared cameras in outdoor housings because the light reflects off the glass of the housing. An alternative solution is to use a day/night camera which has an extra sensitive imaging chip that allows it to capture a good image in low light situations without infrared lighting. This works well if there are street lights outside or an exterior light can be left on at night. Cameras that don’t have infrared lights will not capture an image with zero light.
A cameras lux is the level of light to capture a good picture. The lower the cameras lux, the better the camera can see in the dark. For example, a camera with 0.003 lux is better than a camera with 0.2 lux. Infrared cameras are also compared by how far they can see in total darkness. We sell cameras that see in total darkness over 120 feet at night. People use infrared security cameras for businesses that have lights out at night (in case of a break in) or for outside to view at night.
Infrared cameras capture black and white images however some cameras can capture color images during the day when the light is available and will automatically switch to black and white in low lighting. Times are changing and there has been a break through in night vision with the introduction of EXIR or Matrix IR’s. Hikvision pioneered this type of technology and we have noticed a great difference in the quality of the picture at night. These EXIR cameras (a highly-efficient light source and enhanced LED light strength. By employing the most advanced thin-film and light-emitting technology, this series provides up to 30% more illuminate efficiency over traditional LED array technology. Furthermore, the EXIR series even provides a 40% light-extraction rate improvement when compared to traditional models, resulting in a stronger light for long-range visibility usage.
To make the most out of our IR LED light, EXIR HD, and IP cameras, produce LED light in the form of a rectangle. This allows a better fit for a screens normal size (4:3 or 16:9). Additionally, this will improve LED utilization efficiency and reduce light pollution in the surrounding environment. Images are further optimized with EXIR’s luminance uniformity functionality, which eliminates traditional LED lens issues, such as over exposure at the center of images, as well as darker areas at the corners. EXIR HD/IP cameras capture great image detail in poorly lit environments, better providing for solutions at parks, harbors, roads and airports.
Will my cameras notify me of suspicious activity?
With our professionally installed HD security cameras you can receive instant notifications right to your smart phone. You can set up a perimeter around your home, arm a specific area, or set individual cameras to sent you an alert right to your phone, this is known as line crossing detection or intrusion detection. To set a specific area you need to go into the software of your NVR, DVR, or IP camera and start drawing lines where you want your set area to be. For example, if you want to be notified when someone walks up our driveway or pulls in, you would draw a line where your driveway starts. This line is just a virtual line and is not visible to the human eye. Once the area that your specifically set is “breached” or detects motion, you will receive a notification within seconds of the even taking place. There is a sensitivity setting that you can adjust to meet your needs. For example, if you don’t want to be notified when a small animal enters your driveway or yard you would just adjust the sensitivity to only notify you for heavier objects. The best part about this feature is that there is no monthly charge. This feature is a free bonus to having your security cameras professionally installed by us here at Central Jersey Security Cameras!
